Access to Injectables Part I
Part I of the course is designed to build a strong foundation of knowledge, understanding, and practical competence in the delivery of four widely sought-after skin rejuvenation treatments. This phase is crucial for equipping you with the necessary skills to perform these treatments safely, effectively, and with confidence.
The services covered in this module are as follows:
1. Superficial Chemical Peels
Learn the art and science of applying chemical exfoliants to improve skin texture, tone, and clarity. This treatment is effective for addressing common skin concerns, including fine lines, acne, and hyperpigmentation. You will gain hands-on experience in selecting the appropriate peel strength and technique based on individual skin types and conditions.
2. Dermaplaning
This gentle exfoliation technique utilizes a sterile blade to remove dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (“peach fuzz”) from the skin’s surface. Dermaplaning enhances product absorption, smooths the skin, and creates a flawless canvas for makeup application. 3. Microneedling

Anatomy & Physiology
To complement the practical training, Part I includes an in-depth self-study component focused on Anatomy and Physiology. This module covers the 13 major body systems, providing a thorough understanding of the human body and how these systems relate to skin health and aesthetic treatments. This foundational knowledge is essential for performing treatments safely and effectively while ensuring the best outcomes for clients.
Access to Injectables Part II
Part II of the program is specifically designed to provide a comprehensive education and hands-on experience in the safe and competent administration of Foundation Injectables.
Part II is essential for anyone looking to master the fundamentals of aesthetic injectables, focusing on two of the most in-demand and transformative treatments in the aesthetics industry:
1. Botulinum Toxin Treatments
Learn the foundational principles of botulinum toxin application, a highly effective treatment for smoothing dynamic wrinkles and preventing further expression lines. This segment covers the three standard treatment areas:
- Frown Lines (Glabellar Lines).
- Forehead Lines.
- Crow’s Feet (Lateral Canthal Lines).
The training emphasizes understanding the anatomy of facial muscles, proper dosage, injection techniques, and patient safety. Under expert guidance, you will carry out at least five client treatments, allowing you to develop confidence and precision in your practice.
2. Dermal Filler Treatments
Delve into the art of dermal fillers, which are used to restore volume, enhance facial contours, and smooth fine lines. Training includes techniques for treating:
- Cheeks (Volume Restoration and Contouring).
- Marionette Lines (Lines from the Mouth to the Chin).
- Nasolabial Folds (Smile Lines).
- Lips (Enhancement and Definition).
- Perioral Lines (Lines Around the Mouth).
You will perform at least five client treatments during the training, focusing on patient assessment, treatment planning, and safe injection techniques tailored to each area. This ensures you develop the skills necessary to achieve natural, balanced, and aesthetically pleasing results.
Practical Training Days
Part II includes four consecutive days of hands-on practical training, providing an immersive experience under the guidance of Helen McGuinness. You will work with real clients provided by the program, giving you the opportunity to refine your technique and gain valuable insight into patient care and communication.
Advanced Online Learning
To complement your practical skills, this module includes comprehensive online learning to deepen your theoretical understanding. Topics covered include:
Advanced Anatomy for Injectable Treatments: A detailed exploration of facial anatomy, including critical structures such as nerves, muscles, and blood vessels, to ensure safe and effective injections.
Managing Complications: A crucial component of injectables training, this section teaches you how to recognize, prevent, and respond to potential complications, ensuring the highest standard of patient care and safety.
By the end of Part II, you will have the foundational skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to confidently deliver these popular treatments and build your career in the aesthetics industry.
Entrance requirements
Due to the quality of our training provision and our excellent reputation there are no pre-requisites to join our pathway to Injectables course. It is specifically designed to provide beginners with the correct requirements and skills to enable them to offer the range of treatments covered on this course to a high professional standard.

Assessment of Competency
Candidates will be assessed continually throughout the course to ensure they have the knowledge needed to practice skills competently for commercial practice.
Competency is assessed continuously through a range of methods, including:
- Written Assessments
- Course Assignments
- Observation of practical competency
- Case Studies
Once competency is met in all areas, candidates will be signed off as competent and receive their certification.
Completion
Upon Successful completion of this course:
- Candidates will have the skills and knowledge to be able to offer a range of sought-after Skin Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Injectable Treatments safely and effectively.
- Have the appropriate level of knowledge in Anatomy, physiology, and Morphology of the Ageing face to understand proper client assessment and evaluation to achieve the best aesthetics results for your clients.
- Be equipped with the necessary Health, Safety, Hygiene, Infection control, Complications management to work safely and proactively to avoid common problems associated with the use of Cosmetic Injectables.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course and all the requirements, candidates will receive the Helen McGuinness Diploma in Skin Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Injectable Treatments.
Candidates will also receive module certificates in each of the individual core skills.
Progression / Continuing Professional Development
Upon Successful completion of this course candidates will be able to further advance their skills with training in Advanced areas such as Dermal Filler Masterclasses, Advanced Anti-Wrinkle Treatments, Fat Dissolving Injections and Skin Booster Treatments.
