Pathway to Injectables Course Overview
(Comprehensive intensive training course for Skin Rejuvenation and Injectable treatments)

Our specially designed course is aimed mainly at ‘non-medic’ professionals seeking a pathway into aesthetics and skin rejuvenation, without having to take the full Level 2 & 3 Beauty Therapy route. Learners who successfully complete the course will gain the knowledge and skills to be able to offer a range or Skin Rejuvenation and Injectable treatments to a professional level.
Training is delivered via a blended learning programme consisting of online theory study coupled with face to face theory and practical training. Competency is achieved through completion of assignments, written assessments, submission of case studies and practical observations to the required standard.
Training commences with home study of Anatomy & Physiology of all major systems of the body. There will be a workbook to complete and a written assessment which may be undertaken online.
Candidates are then provided with relevant study materials for the underpinning knowledge for all practical modules listed below. Practical training (face to face) is 6 days in total consisting of 2 parts:
Part I
Part I focuses on the knowledge, understanding and safe, competent practice of 4 popular skin rejuvenation services:
You will attend for 2 consecutive Practical Training Days in which you will practice the hands -on application of all 4 practical skills on models / clients provided by us.
Part II
Part II focuses on the knowledge, understanding and safe, competent practice of Foundation Injectables:
You will attend for 4 consecutive Practical Training Days in which you will practice the hands-on application of:
Foundation Botulinum toxin: 3 standard areas – Frown lines, Forehead and Crows Feet, in which you will carry out at least 5 client treatments.
Foundation Dermal fillers: Cheeks, Marionette lines, Nasolabial folds, Lips, Perioral lines, in which you will carry out at least 5 client treatments.
In addition to the above, there will be online learning for Advanced Anatomy for Injectable treatments and Managing Complications.

- Generic Hygiene, Health, and safety.
- Aesthetic Practice business essentials – legal, regulatory, pricing and marketing.
- Working with a Prescriber for Anti-Wrinkle Treatments.
Course Information
Entrance requirements
Due to the quality of our training provision and our excellent reputation there are no pre-requisites to join our pathway to Injectables course.
It is specifically designed to provide beginners with the correct requirements and skills to enable them to offer the range of treatments covered on this course to a high professional standard.

Assessment of Competency
Candidates will be assessed continually throughout the course to ensure they have the knowledge needed to practice skills competently for commercial practice.
Competency is assessed continuously through a range of methods, including:
- Written Assessments
- Course Assignments
- Observation of practical competency
- Case Studies
Once competency is met in all areas, candidates will be signed off as competent and receive their certification.
Completion
Upon Successful completion of this course:
- Candidates will have the skills and knowledge to be able to offer a range of sought-after Skin Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Injectable Treatments safely and effectively.
- Have the appropriate level of knowledge in Anatomy, physiology, and Morphology of the Ageing face to understand proper client assessment and evaluation to achieve the best aesthetics results for your clients.
- Be equipped with the necessary Health, Safety, Hygiene, Infection control, Complications management to work safely and proactively to avoid common problems associated with the use of Cosmetic Injectables.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course and all the requirements, candidates will receive the Helen McGuinness Diploma in Skin Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Injectable Treatments.
Candidates will also receive module certificates in each of the individual core skills.
Progression / Continuing Professional Development
Upon Successful completion of this course candidates will be able to further advance their skills with training in Advanced areas such as Dermal Filler Masterclasses, Advanced Anti-Wrinkle Treatments, Fat Dissolving Injections and Skin Booster Treatments.
