This course is designed for suitably qualified practioners to be able to professionally offer a range of Skin Blemish removal treatments. Advanced Cosmetic Procedures (ACP) covers the use of shortwave diathermy current for the successful removal & treatment of a wide range of skin blemishes.
Clients will be delighted with the results and will be surprised how easily and quickly their unsightly skin blemishes can be removed, which may have affected their confidence and well-being. As this is an advanced cosmetic procedure the earning potential is much higher than electrolysis and the service is very popular with clients.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will:
- Be able to perform a range of Advanced Cosmetic Procedures.
- Be able to safely and effectively treat thread veins, skin tags and a range of other skin blemishes and lesions.

Course Information
Entrance requirements
Candidates should be qualified to level 3 or above in a in beauty therapy, laser treatment, cryotherapy or equivalent (including A & P) with experience of invasive skin treatments. Those who are qualified in Dermal fillers or Botulinum toxin (6 months experience), or are a Registered Nurse, or other medical professional would also be eligible. Exam / assessment info
You will be assessed by continual observation throughout the course, to ensure that you have all the knowledge that you will need to practice your skills professionally. There will be a written assessment and practical assessment taken at the end of your training to assess your competency for commercial practice.
Qualification / Certification
Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded a ‘Diploma in Advanced Cosmetic Procedures – Minor Skin Blemish Removal’ by Helen McGuinness Aesthetics & Beauty Training International.
